I wish to increase the page size of a PDF document - without expanding the text. The desired result is larger white margins.Acrobat Professional Help indicates that page size can be increased via 'Fixed Page Size' or 'Custom Size' in the Crop Dialog Box.In my case, all Fixed Page Sizes in the Crop Dialog Box are grayed-out.

And when attempting to set a Custom Page Size that is 1/2 cm larger on all four margins, a message states 'Page size may not be reduced.' That seems contradictory, as the custom page size was increased - not reduced. As an alternate possibility, I printed the document to a larger page size via the Adobe PDF print driver. The result was very nice, BUT. File size increased from less than 3MB to more than 16MB!I would be grateful for help in finding an effective and efficient solution for this seemingly simple objective. Thanks for the suggestion. The document is 322 pages, comprising 322 scanned images - i.e., each scanned image is its own PDF page in the document. The images were scanned via the Acrobat interface, using PDFScanLib v1.2.2. In Acrobat 7.08.'

Select All' yields this message 'This page contains only an image of a scanned page. There are no text characters. Would you like to run character analysis to try to make the text on this page accessible?' So 'Select All' does not appear to be available for a document that has only scanned images.Selecting an entire individual image/page does not seem to help: When I then attempt to change page size via the Crop Pages dialog box, all Fixed sizes are grayed-out.

Any larger Custom Size does appear correctly in the preview pane, but clicking 'OK' yields only the 'Page size may not be reduced.' As noted in my initial posting, the page size is increased - not reduced. The document is not Read Only, and the Security Method is 'No Security.' Is is possible that using the Crop method cannot be used for a PDF that has only scanned images? I just tried the Crop method on another PDF that contains text, and the Crop Dialog Box worked as expected.

Thanks for the suggestions.I tried both 'setting them way larger then cropping down' and 'selecting a page with the crop tool' - but no success.May I send a small sample - say, five pages? Each page would be a scanned image of a blank page in the document on which I am working. Kazlow can get resizing to work, then they could let me know how it's done. Or, if they can't get resizing to work, perhaps Adobe could be asked for help.If sending a sample is a good idea, just let me know where to send it.Thanks! Allen,The PDF image scans were created directly via Acrobat 7 Pro, scanning from an Epson scanner. Of course, Acrobat also invokes the Epson's TWAIN interface.I applied your suggestion, and found that I was indeed able to increase the page size by some amounts - but not by other amounts.

For example, the 200cmx200cm example that you gave did work for me, but 500cmx500cm work. However, regardless of any such size increases, I was then able to crop the page size down to my target size.

In every instance, I received only the 'Page size may not be reduced.' Message.I use Acrobat 7.08 Pro. Did you you the same version? In this particular case, all that I want to do is to increase the scans' 14.5cmx23cm present page size to 15.5cmx24cm - adding a nice 0.5cm margin on all four sides. It sounds simple, but.!Raphael.

Yes, I am using 7.08 Pro. I meant 200 inches, not cm.I'm not much of a PDF/PS programmer, but could there be some screwy code that's making the crop function think the page is larger than 100 inches. I was able to crop to a page size of 10x110 (inches). That's not a type, I was able to make thepage 10' wide and 110' tall, which makes me think that maybe something is off.Can somebody smarter than me tell me if this:obj.
